Birthed in the late 90s, Oddjobs were one of the more slept-on crews to come out of Minnesota. Putting their own unique spin on hip hop, Oddjobs used lush instrumentation and live drum breaks to balance their sometimes oft-kilter verses. Parting ways in 2005, Drums was their last proper album. You can find most of the same players today in kill the vultures.

Heliocentrics-Out There
From Stone's Throw one-off Now Again Records comes Dj Shadows former backing band, the Heliocentrics. Blunted free-jazz and funk, psychedelica and eastern influences mix seemlessly over the legendary Malcolm Catto's relentless drumming. This ones for the heads.
